Emma Talley is tied for 34th place at the ANA Inspiration, the LPGA’s first major tournament of the year, and she will make the cut for the second consecutive week.
The Princeton native shot a 3-under-par 69 in the opening round Thursday and followed that with a 1-over-73 on Friday. Talley struggled with her putter Friday, totaling 34 putts in the round – five more than her season average. She did hit 11 of 14 greens in regulations.
Her two-day score of 2-under is 10 shots behind leaders Sung Hyun Park and Pernilla Lindberg.
Talley entered the week fourth in the LPGA Rolex Rookie of the Year Standings.
The third round at Rancho Mirage, CA continues Saturday.
