Caldwell County Cruises by Henderson County 10-0

The Caldwell County Tigers made a bit of a statement Saturday in the 2nd Region. The Tigers got going early and never looked back in a 10-0 rout of the Henderson County Colonels at the VFW Ballpark in Princeton.

Caldwell County got to Henderson pitching right out of the gate, coming up with four runs in the bottom of the first. Singles by Jase Felker and Shane Burns set up the first run of the game, which scored on a Henderson County error. Oliver Parker sinlged to drive in Burns. The Tigers added two more runs on a passed ball and a wild pitch to make it 4-0 after one.

Felker and East drove in runs in the bottom of the second to extend the Caldwell County lead to 6-0.

The Tigers then used three walks and two more singles to score four runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to open up a 10-0 lead.

Bryar Riley then finished out the game by holding the Colonels down in the top of the 5th inning. Riley was solid all game for Caldwell County, giving up only three hits in five innings, and striking out nine for the Tigers.

Jase Felker and Oliver Parker each had big days at the plate for Caldwell County. Both went 3-3 and drove in a run.
