The Todd County Central softball team lost 12-9 to Russellville (4-2) in a 4th Region All “A” semifinal played at Metcalfe County on Saturday. The loss drops the Lady Rebels to 1-1 on the year, while the Lady Panthers move to 4-2.
Russellville scored six runs in the first inning, but the Lady Rebels responded with a seven-run fourth inning to take an 8-6 lead. Russellville responded with three runs of their own in the fourth and never lost the lead again.
Whitney Higgins had two singles, a triple, and three RBIs for the Lady Rebels. Emma Harris also had two hits, and Maddie Williams had a single and three RBIs.
The Lady Rebels have over a week off until they host Hopkins County Central (1-1) on April 9.
