Stevens, Bellak lead HCA at NASP State Tourney

Cole Stevens and Zoe Bellak had the high scores in their division for Heritage Christian Academy at the NASP State Archery Tournament Saturday in Louisville.

Stevens led HCA with a score of 285 to finish 74th in the male division. Jess Bufford followed with a 281 to finish 158th, and Payton Alcorn shot a 270 to finish 460th out of 1,154 archers.

For the ladies, Bellak shot a 280, which was good 123rd. Delaney Bynum shot a 272 to finish 313th, and Alma Valdez shot a 263 to finish 561st.

HCA totaled 3,125 points to finish 94th in the high school division. Madison Central shot a 3,438 to repeat as state champion. Bullitt Central (3,429) was second followed by Muhlenberg County (3,409) and Henderson County (3,408).
