Mother Nature wins again in Week 2, knocking out most of the games for the week. We did get a few in, but still not many chances to gauge just where these teams stand early in the season.
– Madisonville (2-0) – Only gotten the chance to play two games in two weeks, but looked pretty good in big wins over Henderson County and cross-town rival Hopkins Central.
– Christian County (5-0) – Closing the gap on the Lady Maroons following wins over Marshall County, Lyon County, and Top 10 ranked Woodford County. And, they have pitched three shutouts.
– Webster County (1-0) – Rain completely washed em out last week. They hopefully get some sunshine this week down in Florida.
– Union County (2-1) – Split against a pair of Illinois teams last week. Spending some time down in the sun in the Destin/Fort Walton beach area this week.
– Caldwell County (0-1) – The Lady Tigers played on March 22. I repeat, they played on March 22, and have not been able to get on the field since.
– Trigg County (2-2) – Picked up a nice win over Russellville. Lost a pair in Allen County, but the competition there should help this team in the long run.
– Lyon County (2-4) – Upended by Trigg County, then two tough losses to Top 10 teams Christian County and Woodford County. Competitive with Woodford, ran out of gas against Christian, which was their third game in less than 24 hours. Trying to find their footing.
