Only one player from the western part of Kentucky was included on the USA Today American Family Insurance ALL-USA Kentucky Boys Basketball Team, and that player made his home in the 8th District. UHA’s KyKy Tandy was among the five players selected to the First Team, joining Trevon Faulkner, of Mercer County, CJ Frederick, of Covington Catholic, Zion Harmon, of Adair County, and Charles Bassey, of Aspire Academy.
The five players selected for the Second Team were Mickey Pearson, of John Hardin, Michael Moreno, of Scott County, Andrew Taylor, of Corbin, Dontaie Allen, of Pendleton County, and Stephen Fitzgerald, of Pulaski County.
Billy Hicks, of Scott County, was selected as the Coach of the Year.
