
The Russellville Lady Panthers, who will be headed off to the All A state tournament next weekend, scored 11 runs in the first inning and never looked back, on their way to a 15-0 three inning win over Fort Campbell Thursday evening in Russellville. The win ended a two game losing skid for the Lady Panthers.
In the first inning, Russellville took advantage of eight Fort Campbell walks and one error. The Lady Panthers also came up with three doubles and a home run in the the inning.
The lead expanded in the second inning as Fort Campbell pitching issued three more walks, and Russellville blasted a 3-run double to push the lead out to 14-0.
Russellville ended the game in the bottom of the third with two doubles in the first three batters of the inning.
The Lady Falcons only had two baserunners in the game, both getting on base due to a walk.
