Madisonville nipped Hopkinsville 3-2 in girls’ tennis action Tuesday at Ruff Park.
In singles play, Hoptown eighth grader Anna Maddux beat Keelie Carter 8-1.
Madisonville’s Madison Cummings beat Hopkinsville eighth grader Abby Moss 8-5, and Martha Popescu edged eighth grader Grasen Givens of Hoptown 8-6.
In doubles play, seventh graders Ella Lester and Allie Fort beat Marth Popescu and Kendall Warren of Madisonville 8-0.
The Hoptown duo of Skylar Ray and Anna Maddux fell to Emily Shockley and Emily Fischels 3-6, 7-5, 0-1.
Hopkinsville will return to the court Thursday when they host Henderson County.
