The UHA Blazers picked up their 3rd win in a row Tuesday evening with two pitchers combining to throw a short game no hitter. The Blazers used a ten run 4th inning to cruised to a 16-0 road win over Christian Fellowship.
UHA got on the board in the first inning when Dan Johnson doubled to score Tanner Thomas and give the Blazers a 1-0 lead after one. The Blazers took advantage of two walks, a hit batter, and a Christian Fellowship error in the 2nd inning to score five runs and push the lead out to 6-0.
UHA sealed the game with ten runs in the top of the 5th inning. The Blazers scored the runs without the benefit of a single hit in the inning. Christian Fellowship gave up three errors, eight walks, a hit batter, and a dropped third strike in the inning.
For the Blazers, Drew McGowan was 1-3 with two RBI’s. Tanner Thomas was 1-3 with an RBI. Dan Johnson was 1-2 with 3 RBIs. And, Eston Glover went 2-4 with an RBI.
On the mound, Eston Glover and Dustin Moon combined for the five inning no hitter. The two combined to strike out nine, while walking only two.
