Trigg Fishing Duo in Eighth Place at the State Bass Fishing Tourney

Trigg County’s fishing tandem of Andrew Greene and Anthony Ethridge sit in eighth place after the first day of the KHSAA State Bass Fishing Championship on Kentucky Lake.

Greene and Ethridge were one of just three teams to catch a full bag of five fish. Their total of 11-pounds, 3-ounces is just over a pound out of fourth place. Greene is seeking his second straight top 10 finish at the state tournament. He and Robert Deason teamed to finish ninth last year.

Blake Harold and Cameron Cochran of Madison Southern stand in first place with five fish that weighed 19-pounds, 8-ounces, which included the big bass of the day at 5-pounds, 3-ounces. They were state runner-ups a year ago.

Tristan Barrett and Evan Bremmerkamp of Marshall County are second (17-12), followed by Carson Recke and Jackson Kulijof of Muhlenberg County (12-12), and Dylan Bell and Jacob Hudgin of Calloway County (12-6).

Day Two continues Saturday with the final weigh-in scheduled for 3:30 at Kentucky Dam Marina.
