Todd County had been playing better baseball down the stretch but ran into a tough first round matchup in the 13th District Tournament Monday. The Rebels were no-hit in their 15-0 loss to Franklin-Simpson.
The Wildcats scored six runs in the first inning and eight more in the second to take control of the contest. Connor Rogers had two doubles and two RBIs for the Wildcats (24-10), who will advance to Tuesday’s championship game against Logan County.
Todd County’s Nick Tutor took the loss for the Rebels, whose season ends with a record of 4-20.
