Christian County catcher Cameron Crider is continuing a family tradition of Colonels in the state baseball tournament.
The team’s lone senior is the son of former Christian County player and coach Kevin Crider. Kevin played on the Colonels’ 1993 region championship team and coached Christian County to the school’s lone title in 2004. One of the players Crider coached was current Colonel head coach Trey Wheeler.
Now, Cameron will handle the Colonel pitchers behind the plate when the Whitaker Bank/KHSAA Baseball Tournament begins Friday in Lexington.
