Less than a week after pitching in the KHSAA State Softball Tournament, Hannah Sumner won her first GO Junior Golf Series event of the summer Tuesday at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Course in Franklin.
Sumner’s score of 90 was five shots better than second place Maecy Brown of Beaver Dam in the Girls 16-18 Division. Bridget Owens tied for third with a score of 101.
In the Boys 13-15 Division, Jiles Wyatt shot an 83 to finish one shot of the lead in third place. Elijah Forbes shot an 89 to finish fifth.
In the Boys 11-12 Division, Joey Falco shot a 56 to finish seventh.
In the Girls 13-15 Division, Rheagan Lindsey shot a 50 to finish in second place. Audrey Rains scored a 62 to finish in fourth place.
In the Boys 13-15 Division, Evan Pyle shot a 50 over nine holes to take first place. Calvin Demps shot a 54 to take third place.
Conlee Lindsey won the Girls 11-12 Division with a score of 49. Abby-Grace Forbes finished second, and Anna Fort was third.
Brady Hightower won the six-hole Boys 9-10 Division with a score of 34.
Allie Sandifer won the Girls 8-Under Division with a three-hole score of 14. Campbell Lindsey was second with a score of 21.
Max Falco won the three-hole Boys 8-Under Division with a score of 22.
On Monday at Windridge Country Club in Owensboro, Rheagan Lindsey won the Girls 13-15 Division with a score of 55. Her younger sister Conlee won the Girls 11-12 Division with an identical score of 55.
In the Girls 8-under division, Campbell Lindsey was third with a three-hole score of 24.
In the Boys 9-10 Division, Brady Hightower won with a six-hole score of 33.
Playing in their first events of the summer, Bridget Owens finished fifth with a score of 105, and Hannah Sumner was sixth with a 106.
