Lyon County 8th grader Cathryn Brown shot an 87 at Drake Creek in Ledbetter on Monday afternoon, good enough for the top spot in the Kentucky PGA Junior event. Brown and Ellie Roof of Paducah tied after 18 holes, with Brown taking the medal on a scorecard playoff. The competition will continue on Tuesday at Paxton Park in Paducah. After wrapping up her round, Brown discussed her performance.
