Conlee Lindsey walked up to her ninth and final hole at Western Hills Thursday knowing she needed just two putts to break 40 for the first time ever. She admitted she was thinking about it and settled for three putts and a 40. Still, not bad for someone who will be entering the sixth grade at University Heights Academy this fall.
Despite the low scores she has strung together on the GO Junior Golf Series over the summer, Conlee can’t play on the high school team due to the KHSAA rule that says athletes cannot begin playing in varsity competition until the seventh grade.
