Hopkinsville’s Jakayla McSwain graduated from Hopkinsville High School as the record-holder in several track and field events, which led to her signing with Murray State University. She was named to the All-Area Team, which covered all classes, in both the 200 and 400 meter events. While McSwain battled leg cramps at the state meet that hampered her finish, she talked about her legacy in the track program as she begins the next step in her athletic career.
