The Trigg County High School senior is in Shawnee, Oklahoma this week at the International Finals Youth Rodeo, one of the largest high school rodeos in the nation.

Stallons, who is competing in the event for the first time, will compete in two of the 10 events at the rodeo. She will individually compete in breakaway roping and will compete with Newton Kooper of Dresden, Tennessee in the team roping competition.

Stallons also plays basketball for Trigg County, competing with the Lady Wildcats during summer league games in June.

Also competing in the rodeo will be Jessie Harris, who graduated from Heritage Christian Academy in the spring. She will be competing in barrel racing and breakaway roping. She will also team with Haley Fauste of Cynthiana in team roping.

Stallons, who has competed on the high school rodeo circuit since she was 12, will head to Wyoming next week to compete in the National High School Rodeo Association’s High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs. She, along with her sister Paige and brother Aaron, have been a regular at this annual rodeo in past years.
