With the start of the new school year just around the corner, one 5th District boys basketball team is in need of a new head coach. Graves County High School announced Monday morning that former Livingston Central head coach Bill McNamara would be joining the Eagles program as an assistant coach.
McNamara had been the head coach at Livingston Central for four seasons, compiling a 45-73 record. However, the Cardinals had gone 35-29 over the last two years. During McNamara’s tenure, the Cardinals made one trip to the 2nd Region tournament, that came during the 2016-2017 season.
McNamara was named the 2017-2018 2nd Region Boys “Coach of the Year.”
