A big weekend for a Lyon County Lady Lyon and her summer softball team. Allye Culp, who will be a junior in the 2019 season for Lyon County, had a big weekend in the circle and helped lead the West Kentucky Elite 16U team to a perfect weekend and the championship of a tournament in Clarksville.
Culp got the weekend off to a roaring start for her team, pitching a four inning no-hitter in the first game Saturday, as West Kentucky Elite beat St.B Angels 9-0. Culp was also 1-2 at the plate in the game, scoring a run.
In the third game of the day Saturday, Culp helped lead the team to a 5-2 win over the Nashville Stars. Culp went four innings in the circle, giving up two runs on four hits, and striking out five.
Culp used her bat to aid her team in the championship game, as she went 1-1 with 2 RBI’s, as West Kentucky Elite rolled past the Stars again, this time by a score of 8-1.
