The Christian County Lady Colonels finished strong on the final day of the Apollo Summer Slam. Christian County picked up their first two wins of the season, knocking off Marshall County, and avenging an earlier loss to Franklin-Simpson.
The Lady Colonels lost a match to 2nd Region foe Madisonville. The Lady Maroons took the first set 25-19. Christian County battled back and took a tight second set 26-24. Madisonville then finished the match strong, taking the 3rd set by a score of 15-6.
In the match against, Marshall County, the Lady Colonels dropped the first set 25-18, and then came roaring back to take the next two sets by the scores of 25-16 and 15-11.
Christian County also avenged their season opening five set loss, by sweeping Franklin-Simpson. The Lady Colonels won the match by the scores of 25-13 and 25-16.
The Lady Colonels now stand at 2-6 on the season, and will host Hopkins Central Tuesday night.
