The Christian County Lady Colonels picked up their first win of the 2018 soccer season Monday night. The Lady Colonels came up with a 5-0 victory over the Todd Central Lady Rebels at the Stadium of Champions.
The game was a scoreless tie until late in the first half, when Christian County finally broke through to take a 1-0 lead. Senior midfielder Mackenzie Almy came up with the goal to put the Lady Colonels in front.
Once they broke the ice, the Lady Colonels got things rolling, coming up with four more goals over the second half of play to come away with the 5-0 win. In addition to Almy’s goal, the Lady Colonels got two goals from Emma Fleming, and a goal apiece from Lilly Larkins and Drew Hancock.
The victory improves Christian County’s record to 1-2 on the season. They return to action Thursday night on the road at Logan County.
