After three straight losses to start the season, Trigg County has rebounded with two wins – the latest coming Tuesday by a 5-1 score over visiting Union County.
Madisen Ireland notched a hat trick and first-year player Kara Southwood added two more as the Lady Wildcats scored a season-high five times.
A shot at a shutout was ended inside the game’s final two minutes when a collision in the front of the net allowed Union (0-2) to score their lone goal.
Trigg County (2-3) will try for their first-ever win over Caldwell County Thursday when the Lady Wildcats travel play the Lady Tigers at the Butler Stadium.
