At halftime Saturday, the Hopkinsville Tigers appeared to be in control of their match at Daviess County. The Tigers had managed two first half goals, while holding the highly ranked Panthers scoreless through the first 40 minutes.

However, things changed quickly in the second half as the Panthers found their stride and scored four unanswered goals to come from behind for a 4-2 win over Hopkinsville in the match played on the south side of Owensboro.

Hopkinsville got out to the 2-0 lead on first half goals from Ryan Roussel and Tyler Greenwell. Greenwell also had an assist on the goal by Roussel.

Daviess County came roaring back right out of the break, scoring two goals in the first five minutes of the second half to tie the contest at 2-2. The Tigers struggled in the second half to find the rhythm they had in the first half and the Panthers kept on coming.
