Led by a pair of golfers posting their career best scores, the Christian County Lady Colonels finished seventh at the Marshall County Invitational Saturday at the Calvert City Country Club.
Hannah Sumner shot a 14-over 86 to lead the Lady Colonels, and Jennalyn Kelly shot a 99 – both career bests. Jenna Humphries shot a 97, and Bridget Owens added a 99.
As a team, Christian County shot a 381, which was two shots out of sixth place and 18 shots behind fifth place Madisonville.
South Warren’s Faith Martin won the event with a 1-over 73. Marshall County’s Hallie Riley was one shot back in second place, and Graves County’s Nicole Taylor shot a 75 to finish in third place.
Marshall County won the team title on their home course with a score of 312 followed by South Warren (321) and Graves County (329).
