The Murray State men’s and women’s cross country teams switched up the 2018 schedule as they will now be running at the Commodore Classic, hosted by Vanderbilt University, September 15, instead of the Stegemoller Classic at Southern Indiana.
The men will run an 8K, beginning at 9 a.m., while the women will toe the starting line for a 5K at 10 a.m. Both races will take place on the Vaughn’s Gap Cross Country Course at Percy Warner Park in Nashville.
The race marks a return to the Commodore Classic for MSU after a year hiatus, having ran in the event in 2015 and 2016.
The Racers are coming off their first race of the season, Friday at Southern Illinois. The women finished second out of five teams and were led by senior captain Rebekah Priddy, who finished seventh overall, while the men were led by senior Vince Turner, who finished fourth overall, as the team garnered a third-place finish.
