Heritage Christian Academy dropped a three-set match to North Hardin Christian Friday at Warrior Gym. North Hardin opened with a 25-13 win in the first set before HCA batted back to win the second set 25-21. North Hardin, last year’s KCAA state runner-up, took the third and deciding set 25-23.
“Both teams played well. We just came up a little short. I was extremely proud of our girls,” said Coach Eldridge Rogers.
HCA had a 95-percent serve rate and got eight kills from Cami Nelson and 20 assists from Emma Kirkman.
Heritage Christian fell to 16-7 on the season and 1-2 in KCAA play. The Lady Warriors will host defending state champion Trinity Saturday afternoon.
