For the first time in almost exactly five years, the UHA Blazers did not lose a soccer game in which they did not score. The Blazers hosted Paducah Tilghman on a pleasant evening Monday.
UHA entered the contest having scored 38 goals in seven matches, while giving up only five. On the other hand Tilghman had scored only eighteen in seven matches, while allowing 14.
The two teams battled for 80 minutes Monday evening, before settling for the 0-0 tie. It was the 5th time that Paducah Tilghman had been shut out this season. It was the third time they had not allowed a goal.
On the other side, it was the first time UHA had failed to score during the 2018 season. It marked the 4th time that the Blazers had shut out an opponent.
The last time UHA played to a 0-0 tie was September 14, 2013, when the Blazers and the Owensboro Red Devils ended up 0-0.
UHA’s record is now 6-1-1. Paducah Tilgham is now at 3-4-1.
