It had been a while since the Caldwell County Lady Tiger volleyball team had played a home match. In fact, before Tuesday night’s match against Calloway County, the last time the Lady Tiger were at the CAB was when they took on Christian County back on August 14.
Caldwell County returned to the CAB Tuesday night for an inter-regional matchup with the Lady Lakers and came away with the straight set win. The Lady Tigers opened fast and cruised through the match, winning the first set 25-14. They won the second set 25-15, and then closed out the match 25-11.
Head coach Daniel Cortner says he was pleased to see the return of his team’s speed on the court, which had been lacking over the past week.
Caldwell County will return to action Thursday in a big road showdown with the Apollo E-Gals.
