Lady Rebels Outlast Franklin-Simpson for 2OT Win

Maddye Drummond scored with less than a minute left in double-overtime to give Todd County Central a 4-3 district win over Franklin-Simpson Tuesday in Elkton. The win is the fifth straight for the Lady Rebels which is their longest winning streak since the start of the 2015 season.

Drummond’s goal was one of two in the contest, while Itzel Salazar scored once, and Amy Brumfield added one goal and two assists. Rachel Bilyeu had seven saves in goal.

The Lady Rebels move above .500 with a record of 6-5 and 2-2 in district play. Todd County Central will keep their hopes alive for a top seed in the district Tuesday when they travel to Logan County.
