
Fort Campbell had a cross country runner finish in the top 20 Saturday at the St. Mary Invitational at Paducah’s Noble Park.
Katie Guevara-Maldonado was the top Lady Falcon runner in the girls’ varsity race with a 15th place finish in a time of 24:01 over the 3.1-mile course.
Chandler Burgoyne moved into the No. 2 slot Saturday with a 68th place finish, followed by Lilliauna Powers (77th), Sophie Laitila (79th), Anjelle Lopez-Andujar (87th), and Sheree Pollock (103rd).
Apollo’s Sammi Roberts won the girls’ varsity race in a time of 21:02. As a team, Fort Campbell finished in tenth place.
In the boys’ varsity race, Gabe Gamez was the first Falcon to cross the finish line in 41st place in a time of 20:29 over the 3.1-mile course. William DeShazo was 78th in a time of 22:07, followed by Dionte Berry (102nd), Ian Surrency (125th), Xavier Smith-Lyles (133rd), and Zack Lever (135th).
Fort Campbell finished 15th in the team competition.
Kyra Vaughn was the top Lady Falcon finisher in the middle school race with a 49th place finish.
