Trigg County put together respectable team finishes Saturday at the St. Mary Invitational at Noble Park in Paducah.
DeDe Barbee led the Lady Wildcat runners with a 24th place finish in a time of 25:00 over the 3.1-mile course. Livi Ricks was 26th (25:10), followed by Lexi Ricks (30th, 25:41); Breeanna Barnes (40th, 26:39); Kylie Alford (49th, 27:33); and Phelan Dossett (70th, 30:48).
Apollo’s Sammi Roberts won the race in a time of 21:02.
Trigg County’s 142 point total was 42 behind fourth place Calloway County. Apollo took first place (31) followed by Graves County (91) and Muhlenberg County (93).
In the boys’ varsity race, Marshall Jenkins led Trigg County with a 29th place finish in a time of 19:43 over the 3.1-mile course. Austin Cavanaugh was 35th in 20:15, followed by Ethan Futrell (38th, 20:21); Alex Skinner (67th, 21:34); Riley Thompson (80th, 22:16); Tyler Freeman (82nd, 22:22); Apollo Blackbear-Francis (88th, 22:54); and Carson Woodall (112th, 25:12).
Apollo’s Thomas Ashby won the race in a time of 17:31. As a team, Trigg County was seventh with 221 points.
Mari Kate Ricks was the top middle school runner for Trigg County in 17th place, while Eli Hill led the guys with a 77th place finish.
