The Christian County Lady Colonels went 0-1-1 on a rainy Saturday during the 2018 Colonel Showcase at the Stadium of Champions. The Lady Colonels played to a 1-1 tie in their opener of the day against Warren Central. Christian County was then upset by Hopkins Central in their final match of the day.

In the opener, freshman Autumn Bell found the net at the 22 minute mark to put Christian County up 1-0. Neither team would find the net again for the rest of the half, which was played in a steady light rain.

Warren Central came back to even the match up at 1-1 about halfway through the second half. Both teams found themselves with some opportunities down the stretch, but could not find the goal, as the rain continued to fall, as the match ended up in the 1-1 tie.

In the second game of the day, the Hopkins Central Lady Storm, who earlier in the day had lost for just the second time of the season to Overton, rebounded to pick up a 3-2 win over the Lady Colonels.

The rain which had fallen throughout the day, fell with a bit more intensity during the second match for the Lady Colonels, causing field conditions to detioriate as the match wore on.

With the tie and the loss, the Lady Colonels now stand at 7-7-1 on the season. They are set to return to action Monday as they host Clinton County.
