After winning its first match since August 16 on Thursday at Russellville, the Lyon County boys’ soccer team went on the road to Owensboro looking to make it two in a row. However, the Owensboro Catholic Aces had other ideas, shutting out the Lyons 7-0. The Lyons enter postseason play with a 2-16-1 record, while the Aces have won two-straight to move to 7-10 overall.
Lyon County travel to Trigg County on Monday for the 5th District championship game. The Lyons are looking to defend the title they won 4-3 over the Wildcats last season in Eddyville.
