The UHA volleyball team had little trouble punching its ticket to Wednesday’s 8th District title match, dispatching hosts Fort Campbell 3-0 on Tuesday night. The Lady Blazers’ third victory of the season over the Lady Falcons improves their record to 22-14, while Fort Campbell’s season ends with an 8-23 mark.
The Lady Blazers jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the opening set and never looked back, winning 25-10. UHA took a 20-4 advantage in the second set on the way to a 25-7 victory, before finishing off the match with a 25-12 score in the third.
UHA will return to post on Wednesday night where they’ll face the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers, winners over Christian County in the other semifinal. The Lady Blazers won both regular-season meetings between the teams.
