University Heights Academy’s Tomas Duncan was named to the KCAA Class A All-State Cross Country Team. It marks the second consecutive season the Blazer sophomore was named to the team.
Duncan won the Region I Meet for the second straight year and finished seventh at Saturday’s Class A State Meet. He bettered his state meet time from last year by 42 seconds when he finished 15th.
All-State teams selected by the KCAA are usually the top 25 runners at the state meet in their respective classes, although on rare occasions regular season and region meet finishes are factored in.
