Lady Warriors Fade Late in Road Loss at South Haven

South Haven scored the first five points of the fourth quarter to pull away from Heritage Christian Academy 40-30 in a girls’ basketball contest Monday in Springfield, Tenn.

Despite 14 turnovers and missing nine of ten free throws in the game, the Lady Warriors trailed 24-22 after three quarters. Chelsea Dortch had the hot hand for HCA, knocking down 5-of-13 shots from 3-point range to finish with 23 points. She added eight rebounds.

Kinley Deason added five points for HCA.

AnnaBeth Hatcher led South Haven with 16 points, including her 1,000th career point in the third quarter.

HCA (3-2) will host the KCAA Holiday Classic Friday at Saturday at Warrior Gym.
