Heritage Christian Academy drained 11 three-pointers, and Gavin Fowler scored his 1,000th career point as the Warriors glided past South Haven 82-44 Monday in Springfield, Tenn.
Fowler scored 12 points in the first quarter as the Warriors raced out to a 22-9 lead. Dalton Folz, who added six points in the first quarter, hit the boards to score eight points and grab seven rebounds in the second frame. HCA maintained a 41-27 lead at halftime.
The Warriors knocked down four 3-pointers as part of a 20-7 third quarter run. Fowler hit two free throws midway through the fourth quarter that saw him reach the 1,000-point milestone as a Warrior. Fowler finished with a game high 27 points and added four assists.
Dalton Folz battled sickness to score 17 points and grab 16 rebounds. Rajah Mills added 16 points, and Elijah Britton came off the bench to score 11 points.
In addition to hitting 11 three-pointers, the Warriors committed a season-low nine turnovers.
Heritage Christian (4-1) jumps back into KCAA play Tuesday when they visit North Hardin Christian.
