A cold shooting night has cost many a high school basketball team a win. The Fort Campbell Falcons had a very hard time finding the basket Friday night as they fell at home to Clarksville Academy 69-28.
Clarksville Academy jumped out to a 19-5 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. They would extend the lead to 32-9 at the half.
Things did not get much better for the Falcons in the second half. Clarksville Academy outscored Fort Campbell 23-9 in the 3rd quarter, as they blew the lead out to 55-18. Clarksville Academy closed out the game outscoring the Falcons 14-10 in the 4th quarter to reach the final 41 point margin.
The Falcons were frosty cold from the field, connecting on only 10 of 36 from the field, including 2 of 18 from behind the arc. They also struggled from the line, hitting just 6 of 19 free throws.
Fort Campbell was led by Doryan Hall with 7 points. Isaiah Blyden and Andrew Syester added four points each.
Preston Moody led the way for Clarksville Academy with 15 points.
