Scoring woes continued to plague the young Fort Campbell Lady Falcons Friday night as they dropped their third straight game Friday night. The Lady Falcons fell 69-8 to the host Whitesville Trinity Lady Raiders on the first day of the Trinity Shootout.
Trinity held the Lady Falcons without a point in the opening quarter, as the Lady Raiders bolted out to a 23-0 lead. Trinity outscored Fort Campbell 17-5 in the second quarter to extend the lead to 40-5 at the break.
The Lady Raiders limited the Lady Falcons to a single three point goal in the 3rd quarter. Meanwhile, the Whitesville Trinity offense continued to click as the lead grew to 59-8. Fort Campbell was held scoreless again in the 4th quarter, as the Lady Raiders scored 10 more to reach the final 61 point margin.
Lilliauna Powers and Brianna Dugger each had three points for Fort Campbell. Aliya Powers added two points.
For Whitesville Trinity, Josie Aull was the leading scorer with 18 points. Morgan Kinsey added 16, and Cassidy Morris had 14.
With the loss, the Lady Falcons fall to 0-3 on the season.
