second-half-7

It was a pretty good opening week to the 2018-2019 season for the UHA Blazers. Alright, let’s go further than that. It was a doggone impressive week for the Blazers, and they capped it off with another big win Saturday. UHA broke open a close game with a strong second half to rout Doss 71-51 in the First State Bank Tip Off Classic at Muhlenberg County High School.

At halftime, it looked like the game might come down to the wire. Going to the locker room at the break, the Blazers were clinging to a 26-24 lead.

However, the Blazer found another gear in the second half of play and put the Dragons in their rear view mirror. UHA outscore Doss in the 2nd half 45-27 to pull away for the 20 point win. The win comes the day after the Blazers had to battle from behind in the 4th quarter to knock off Callaway, Mississippi in the Marshall County Hoopfest.

The win improves the Blazers record to 3-0. UHA returns to action Monday evening when they host Todd County Central.
