
A tough start to the 2018-2019 basketball season continued for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons Monday evening. The very young Lady Falcons fell behind early and never could get things on track as they fell to Ohio County 60-7.
Ohio County’s defense limited the Lady Falcons to only three made field goals, one in the first quarter, one in the second, and one in the 4th. Fort Campbell was held scoreless in the 3rd quarter.
The Lady Eagles led 19-2 after the first quarter. Ohio County extended the lead to 40-4 at the half. With a running clock, the game played out quickly in the second half.
Ohio County pushed the lead out to 49-4 after the 3rd quarter and then cruised to the finish line and the 53 point win.
Fort Campbell was led by Lilliauna Powers with 3 points. Asia Cabili and Danielle Houston added two points each.
Ohio County had nine different players score in the contest. The Lady Eagles were led by Heaven Vanover with nine points.
With the loss, the Lady Falcons fall to 0-6 on the season. They return to action Thursday night on the road at Dawson Springs.
Ohio County improves to 4-0. The Lady Eagles will host McLean County on Friday night.
