
Madisonville’s Courtney Peyton had herself a big night and in the process, almost single-handedly led the Lady Maroons past Dawson Springs 75-45 Friday night at the Panther Pit.
The junior scored 29 of her 31 points in the first half, including 18 during a second quarter that saw Madisonville outscore Dawson Springs 30-16.
The Lady Maroons jumped out to a 19-4 first quarter lead before notching the 30-point second quarter.
Graci Arnold added 10 points for Madisonville (3-0).
Brooklyn Clark scored 14 points to lead Dawson Springs, with Kaylee Simpson scored eight points, and Erin Orten adding seven points.
Dawson Springs (3-2) will play at Crittenden County Tuesday.
