A shooting slump by Todd County Central in the second and third quarters allowed Russellville to turn a close game into a blowout in their 59-27 district win over the Lady Rebels Friday in Russellville.
Todd trailed 14-11 after one quarter but was outscored 17-6 in the second quarter and 15-2 in the third frame as the Lady Rebels were held without a field goal.
DeShayla LeBlanc and eighth grader Amiyah Collier did all of their damage in the first half as the Lady Panthers 31-17 at halftime. LeBlanc led Russellville (4-1) with 19 points, and Collier added 12 points – all in the first half.
Amy Brumfield scored nine points, and Jasmine Mimms and Paige Rager each scored five points for the Lady Rebels, who were held without a 3-pointer in the contest.
Todd County (2-4) will host Logan County Friday in a 13th District matchup in Elkton.
