Another game, another big performance from Mr. Basketball candidate KyKy Tandy. Tandy scored 44 points as the Blazers won a tough battle with Evansville Reitz 86-80 at the Bosse Winter Classic.
Tandy scores 23 of his points in the first half, as the Blazers got out to a 43-33 lead.
Reitz cut the lead to 9 early in the 3rd, but the Blazers responded, pushing the lead back out to 68-56 by the end of the quarter.
Reitz made one final push in the 4th quarter, getting as close as 3 points. The Blazers then shut the door and held on for the six point win.
In addition to Tandy’s 44, UHA got 16 from KJ Crump, while Drew McGowan added 10.
UHA remains unbeaten at 7-0 and gets ready for a big matchup Thursday night against Lexington Christian in the Chad Gardner Law King of the Bluegrass Holiday Classic.
