As often is the case for freshman, former Christan County Colonel Detorrion Ware is working to take advantage of the opportunities during his first season of collegiate basketball. Ware is currently in his first year with Coach Ray Harper and the Jacksonville State Gamecocks.
As of December 27th, Ware has appeared in nine of the Gamecocks 12 games in the 2018-2019 season.
He is currently averaging 3.8 points per game, 1.1 rebounds per game, in 6.1 minutes per game of playing time.
Ware’s best game came against Carver, where he scored 16 points and had 3 rebounds in 12 minutes of action. Ware also reached double figures against Western Carolina, scoring 10 points in just nine minutes on the court.
Jacksonville State is 7-5 headed into Saturday’s home game against Reinhardt.
