The Todd County Central Lady Rebels dropped their fifth game in a row Saturday. Greenwood limited the Lady Rebels to a single field goal in the opening quarter, as the Lady Gators picked up the 44-33 win at the Murray Bank Lady Tiger Classic.
Emoni Forte scored the only basket for Todd County Central in the opening quarter as Greenwood jumped out to a 10-2 lead. Greenwood sophomore Jacqueline Jackson then had a big second quarter for the Lady Gators. Jackson scored 8 points in the quarter as Greenwood extended the lead to 24-13 at the half.
The Lady Rebels defense picked things up coming out of the locker room. Todd Central held Greenwood to only one field goal in the 3rd quarter. However, the Lady Gators connected on 5 of 6 at the line and kept the lead at 11 points going into the 4th quarter at 31-20.
The Lady Rebels got their offense going in the final quarter, but could not climb out of the hole as the Lady Gators held on for the 11 point win.
Paige Rager had nine points to lead Todd County Central. Emoni Forte and Eliza Simons came up with seven points each. Jacqueline Jackson led Greenwood with 15 points.
The loss drops Todd County Central to 2-8 on the season. The Lady Rebels return to action January 4th on the road at Franklin-Simpson.
