Heritage Christian Academy Coach Matt McGowan was concerned with his team being rusty since their last basketball game on Dec. 16. The Lady Warriors outscored Glasgow Christian 27-7 in the second half on their way to a 54-24 win Saturday.
HCA led 27-17 at halftime but pulled away in the third quarter to lead 39-23. Glasgow was held to one point in the fourth quarter.
Kinley Deason scored a career-high 20 points in the win. Alie Boyd scored eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Kayley Wadlington scored eight points and pulled down eight rebounds. Chelsea Dortch scored eight points, and Abbi Bullock chipped in with six points, six steals, and five rebounds.
Glasgow, who committed 30 turnovers in the game, was led by Camden Short’s 12 points.
HCA improved to 6-5 on the season. The Lady Warriors are ranked No. 3 in the latest KCAA Power Poll and will host No. 1 Oak Ridge Christian Tuesday.
