Purdue receiver KeyRon Catlett announced Friday that he is transferring from Purdue after two seasons at the Big 10 school. Catlett made the announcement on his Twitter site.

Catlett called his two seasons at Purdue a blessing, adding he has matured as a person and made friends that he will consider family.

The Christian County alum originally committed to Western Kentucky University and Coach Jeff Brohm but decommitted and followed Brohm to Purdue.

Catlett appeared in seven games as a freshman and returned five kickoffs for 62 yards.

He appeared in 10 games on special teams in 2018 but hasn’t caught a pass in his two seasons as a Boilermaker. Catlett saw his kickoff return duties diminish with Rondale Moore’s arrival in West Lafayette.

Catlett was an all-state selection at Christian County where he finished with 3,614 career receiving yards and 36 touchdowns.

He did not mention any potential schools as a landing spot. Catlett held offers from Arkansas State, Eastern Kentucky, and Austin Peay before his original commitment to Western Kentucky.
