Sometimes you just have one of “those” games. Saturday was one of “those” kind of days for the Heritage Christian Warriors. HCA fell behind big early and never recovered as they lost at home 77-43 to Somerset Christian.

Somerset had a double digit lead halfway through the first quarter and never let their foot off the gas pedal until into the 4th quarter. The Warriors were held to two field goals and a free throw in the opening quarter and found themselves down 26-5 after one.

HCA got some things going their way in the 2nd quarter. The Warriors played Somerset dead even in the second. The two teams went into the locker room with Somerset holding a 45-24 lead.

Coming out of the locker room, Somerset put the game away in the 3rd quarter. Behind the play of Jon Moore, Somerset extended the lead over HCA to 67-37 heading into the final quarter.

Reserves for both teams saw much of the action in the 4th quarter, as Somerset extended out to the final 34 point margin.

Dalton Folz and Gavin Fowler each scored 11 points to lead HCA. Rajah Mills added seven for the Warriors.

Jon Moore had 30 for Somerset Christian. Mason Cunnigan added 19 points.
