The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers picked up their second win in as many nights with a 67-32 drubbing of hosts Clarksville Northeast on Wednesday night. The Lady Tigers improve to 14-10 overall with a visit from 10-3 Henderson County coming up on Tuesday.
Jayla Rose scored 9 first-quarter points to help the Lady Tigers to a 19-9 first-quarter lead. Donisha Flowers and Breon Oldham took over in the second with 8 and 9 points, respectively, and Hoptown led 38-18 at the halftime break.
The Lady Tigers continued to stretch the advantage in the third behind 6 more points from Oldham. Cierra Bowser scored all 7 of Northeast’s points in the frame.
Hopkinsville again held Northeast to single digits in the final quarter, finishing off the 35-point victory.
Flowers led all scorers with 19 to go with 9 rebounds, followed by Oldham with 17, Rose with 16 and 7 boards, and Yogianah McKnight with 14.
